JERK AN TINGZ DECATUR

Y’all the saltfish and ackee 😍 delicious and the service here is outstanding. I was literally like why are they so nice. Specifically Debbie she’s a sweetheart great customer service. I’ve also had the oxtail and YUM! I’ve got to try the jerk lobster, I’ve never heard of such thing. Safe to say this is my new spot and it’s close to home. Keep up the good service and good food 🇯🇲. You made a forever customer out of me!

Went to their food truck at Decatur FIFA Watchfest. Great food. 😋 Got the Jerk Pork dinner with cabbage, rice and peas w/ oxtail gravy, & Ginger drink. The cabbage was very well seasoned. The pork didn't even need any sauce! Great portions for the money. 🥰

Beware of inconsistency. I ordered the Oxtail Pasta from here before & it was a 10/10! It was fresh, flavorful, and worth every dollar spent. I just recently ordered the Jerk Shrimp Pasta & it was *nothing* like the last meal I had from here. The noodles were a pile of mush. So was the brocolli. They used the tiny shrimp instead of the large jerk ones pictured for other dishes. The meal was warm but the sauce was already separated, while claiming it’s made fresh. The Brown Stew Chicken I ordered in this same meal was great, so they really did just throw me some old, overcooked pasta to complete the order. I was disappointed because the quality last time was on point! But if I can’t bank on consistency at $20 to $30+ a plate, it’s not worth recommending.

Finally a good Jamaican spot! I ordered a large plate of curry chicken and a large plate of jerk chicken. A lot of Jamaican restaurants I’ve tried in the area are scared to add the heat and I appreciated the level of spice in this plate. The jerk chicken was also really good along with the rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain.

I’m so late in writing this review however I came in January 9th and back again on the 12th for snapper and cabbage. The escovich snapper on the 9th was pretty good but the brown stew that I ordered on the 12 was out of this world. These visits were not my for this restaurant as everything I’ve had has been delicious in general. This was my first time ordering escovich and brown stew from them lol 😋. I know I’m picky when it comes to escovich and the picky test was passed. The flavors were emasculate. Now when I returned to get more on the 12th it was late ( right before closing) and they were out of some ingredients which is understandable so I changed to the brown stew snapper with cabbage….that snapper was seasoned to perfection!!!! Hats off to the chef and everyone there that night! The owner is really kind and you can tell he and his wife truly care about the quality of their food and customer service. This is my new favorite spot. Thank you and keep the flavors coming
